My purpose is to help you awaken into grace, strength and presence through embodied movement and mindfulness practices.
You can achieve physical and emotional liberation.
You can be at peace with your body and mind, have happy, meaningful relationships and be completely free of stress and limiting beliefs which prevent you from being your greatest self.
From youth, I experienced mental and emotional trauma.
Unhealed and neglected, it transferred into my body and created suffering, dis-ease.
Prior to practicing yoga and starting a spiritual practice I pushed through, and tried to ignore the pain. I worked long hours for various large media companies in London. Success, pressure, addiction, not attending to my body’s cry for help and creating more distraction led me to burn out.
I had a breakdown in February 2014. Six months later I dropped everything and travelled East, landing in North India to study and practice Eastern Philosophy, Meditation and Yoga.
“I have learned that yoga is what happens beyond the mat, for the remaining 23 hours day. Yoga is an art, a lifestyle, a way of being.”
I became a qualified Yoga Teacher and from that moment on, I have dedicated my life to the practice. Seeking deeper truth and meaning, exploring and practicing both Eastern and Western yoga, somatic movement, breathwork, well-being and holistic healing methods.
I have learned that yoga is what happens beyond the mat, for the remaining 23 hours day. Yoga is an art, a lifestyle, a way of being. It's how you integrate the presence, strength, connection, peace, passion and love you feel on the mat and invest those qualities into every moment off the mat such as in your work, relationships and life's challenges.Through my own experience I understand that when we awaken into a spiritual path and seek deeper healing and greater health, we can experience a period of severe physical and emotional pain, disconnection, emptiness and desolation.
"We can find the gift in darkness, drop deeper into our body's guidance, intuition and ultimate wake up call that something in your life needs to change."
Feeling like a break - down, this can be a break- through. We can find the gift in darkness, drop deeper into our body's guidance, intuition and ultimate wake up call that something in your life needs to change, a calling to create space for new beginnings, transformation, directing to a brighter path.
In 2017, I experienced severe chronic pain, limited mobility and depression. Specialist advice was that “I would never be pain free”. I was forced to take a break from my life’s work.
The darkness I experienced inspired me to embark on my own holistic self-healing journey. I declined drugs, specialist treatments and surgery. Through deeper mindfulness, meditation and movement training and being guided intuitively by my body's wisdom, I found the inner power to rewire my brain and recondition my body to fully heal.
"When we take the fearless step to dive deep into our unconscious mind, we can bring our repressed pain and suffering to the surface and finally break free from it, activating personal healing, growth and transformation."
Since 2007 I've been teaching in India, The Philippines, Thailand, I'm now based in the UK.
My teaching incorporates an embodied, fluid-like flow similar to Vinyasa, moving in a controlled, creative and curious way. Movements are reflective of self care, exploration, inner curiosity and personal development. Playful and creative, we learn tools to create a focused and peaceful mind, how to create a strong and graceful body as well as connecting with spirit as a gateway towards radical self acceptance, presence and ultimate wellness.
